Public health emergencies are complex and challenging.
In academic research capacities, I have worked extensively to research how to improve risk communication with the public during pandemics.
I have worked on several projects to improve the response to these emergencies (natural hazards and pandemics) both domestically and internationally.
I have developed new methods such as a root cause analysis tool, peer assessment manual, and application of a facilitated lookback guide.
I have published academic articles and several toolkits for the field. My work has been published in academic journals including Emerging Infectious Diseases; Preventive Medicine; Journal of Risk Research; and several others. For more information on these findings and publications, please see my Google Scholar page.
